In this studio course students are introduced to the world of package design involving three dimensional understanding of objects along with graphic skills to develop functional and effective product designs. Students work on a variety of projects for a number of real-market clients starting from rough sketches, transforming them to mockups, and eventually producing final actual products.
The course develops students’ techniques in design programs and the creative use of the computer as an illustrative medium. Starting from freehand sketches, students create digital artworks using traditional and then the latest design methods. The course enhances their color theory and drawing styles.
This course provides an overview of different printing methods from old history until today. Students learn and explore the different techniques and media not only through class lectures but also by visiting print industries in Florence.
Students learn how to manipulate typography as a strong communicative tool. They invest their moods and styles in creating their own personalised typeface based on their typographic knowledge from first year.
The course covers the history and theory of photography. Students explore the fundamentals of photocomposition whereby they study the basic camera operations and the principles of photography involving lighting, speed and composition. Projects include topics such as portrait, still life and landscape photography.
A physical education course that allows the students maintain a healthy lifestyle during their stay in Florence. The classes are conducted outdoors and in groups whereby the students explore Florence in a safe and fun environment. Main activities are yoga, jogging and biking.

The studio course brings students to explore the world of illustration and storyboarding. They invest their imagination in writing personalized stories, sketching the sequences, creating their characters, studying scene camera angles, and producing final digital comics.
